How to Make a Booking

The first step is to register your interest with us. You can do this by calling us or sending us an email

We need to be assured that you have the experience to fly the aircraft. You may be experienced on the Cirrus already, howeer all pilots will be asked to undergo a familiarisation check. Thi ay be shorter for those already experienced in the Cirrus. We can arrange for you to be checked out by one of our our experienced certifying instructors (approx 5 hours for the full familiarisation short-course).

We stipulate that DRK is available only to pilots who have a GFPT or equivalent.

To confirm a booking, you will be required to read and agree to our Hiring Agreement. A copy of our agreement can be found here, and taking the aircraft on hire will be deemed as assent to the agreement.

Fees

Flight Time

Flight time: All times are reckoned on VDO clock.

The hire rate is $345.00 plus GST. (This may change subject to fuel and other prices). If you go on a long flight and need to buy fuel on your own account while you are away, let us know on your return how many litres you bought, and we will deduct this from the hire fee.

One option we can consider is to hire the aircraft dry for $245 plus GST. In this case all fuel is the responsibility of the pilot. When you hire the aircraft it is full of fuel. After you use the aircraft you leave the aircraft full of fuel. We can explain the mechanism for this on direct contact. This option may suit those going away from Archerfield and/or extended trips.

We supply all oil for the aircraft regardless.

We will add to the hire fees, landing and naviation charges.

Extras

  • Landings: We add landing charges to your invoice.
  • Extended Bookings: We may be able to accommodate bookings greater than 48hrs under some circumstances, however if you book the aircraft for longer than this period, there may be a requirement for a flying hour minimum per day. Longer term bookings are examined on a case-by-case basis.

Billing

We will send you an invoice soon after your flight. If you have queries about the invoice, contact us. Otherwise  charges are payable within 14 days. If an account remains unpaid, we will not hire the aircraft to that hirer until the account is settled, or alternate arrangements are made.
